The world is fighting a pandemic, COVID-19. Political turmoil stirs as the new king, Creon, denies burial to a royal son. The story follows Antigone’s classic plight, but with a few new characters and a 21st century look at the traditional Greek chorus. In this adaptation, social media and news media become the chorus–letting the audience know what’s happening and how they should feel about it all.
Please be aware that there are themes of violence, homicide, suicide, and depictions of gun use throughout the show. Some of the scenes may be activating and disturbing and may not be appropriate for young audiences.
