MoCo Arts Fall 2025 School of Dance Schedule

At MoCo Arts in Keene, NH, creativity takes center stage. Our School of Dance offers high-quality instruction for students in grades 2 through 12 and for adults of all experience levels. Classes include Ballet, Pointe, Modern, Jazz, Hip Hop, and Tap, each designed to nurture skill, confidence, and creative expression. MoCo’s experienced faculty creates a supportive environment where every dancer can grow at their own pace — from beginner to advanced. All dance programs have the opportunity to take part in professional-quality performances, such as The Nutcracker in December and our spring productions. While performance participation is encouraged, it’s always optional — every dancer learns, improves, and shines in their own way.

Students progress by level (A through E) with instructor approval to ensure individualized growth. Starred classes meet twice weekly for expanded study and technique development. Join a welcoming, family-centered community where movement inspires confidence, creativity, and lifelong connection.

At MoCo Arts in Keene, NH, the stage is a place where imagination and confidence grow. Our award-winning Theatre Program invites students of all ages and experience levels to explore acting, musical theatre, improv, and technical theatre in a supportive, joy-filled environment.

Every class — from Musical Theatre and Straight Play to Improvisation and Theatre Games — focuses on collaboration, creative expression, and personal growth. Students learn performance skills, teamwork, and self-confidence while working with MoCo’s professional teaching artists.

Each semester culminates in a fully produced performance where every student is cast in a role and encouraged, but never required, to perform. From first lines to final bows, MoCo ensures that every voice is heard and every student has Access for All — because the arts belong to everyone.

Theatre Opportunities

• Musical Theatre: Fall and Spring semesters for grades 2–12; students rehearse weekly to create a full-scale musical.

• Straight Play: Fall and Spring semesters for grades 6–12; students bring classic and contemporary scripts to life through acting and storytelling.

• Theatre Games: Grades 2–5; imaginative play, movement, and collaboration for younger performers.

• Improvisation: Grades 6–12; fast-paced, creative fun that builds confidence and quick thinking.

• Adult Improv: Ages 18+; a monthly drop-in for community members ready to laugh, connect, and play.

• Workshops: Voice, technical theatre, college audition prep, and more throughout the year.

About the Young Arts Program

At MoCo Arts in Keene, NH, the Young Arts Program introduces children to the joy of movement, music, and imagination in a nurturing, play-based environment.

Our Creative Dance classes are designed to support healthy physical, emotional, and social development for children ages 6 months through 2nd grade, using stories, rhythm, and creative play to build coordination and confidence.

Through Storytime Theatre, children ages 4 through 2nd grade explore acting, singing, dancing, and stagecraft while learning teamwork and self-expression.

Students in 2nd grade may remain in Young Arts for an additional year or advance to MoCo’s School of Dance or Theatre Program, depending on readiness and interest.
