“I began dancing at MoCo when I was just 2 years old, and it quickly became a passion that’s stayed with me. My earliest memories are of creative dance classes, where I loved wearing tutus and bows, and I knew dance was something I would always love. Over the years, I developed deep friendships and strong bonds with my teachers and fellow dancers, spending countless hours together in the studio. MoCo has given me a voice, allowing me to express my personal feelings and emotions through movement. It’s here that I found my confidence—not just in dance, but in everything I do! MoCo has truly changed my life, helping me become the person I am today.”

“I began my journey with MoCo in 5th grade with dance, but adding theater in 7th grade changed everything. Performing on stage boosted my confidence in ways I never expected. Theater challenged me to think deeply about characters and how they related to my own experiences, helping me understand myself more fully. Through these performances and connections with the amazing staff, I discovered my passion for music, which I’m now excited to pursue in college. MoCo has been a beautiful, transformative experience, guiding me toward my interests and introducing me to lifelong friends. I wouldn’t be the same person today without it; MoCo gave me a foundation of confidence and purpose that I’ll carry with me forever.”

“MoCo Arts hosts an excellent youth theater program as well as great tuition assistance! I was a student in the high school theater program for three years and MoCo always chose great shows. For example, we performed Legally Blonde Jr., Spongebob Squarepants: The Broadway Musical, A Christmas Carol, and RENT School Edition all during my time as a student. Without MoCo Arts I likely would not have performed in a musical during high school! Additionally, the teaching artists at MoCo Arts empower and build confidence in their students.”
