Performed every other year BY MoCo Arts and showcased at the Redfern Art Center in Keene, NH

MoCo Arts’ beloved production of The Nutcracker offers advanced dancers an exciting new challenge while introducing the magic of performance to younger and developing students. This cherished community tradition celebrates creativity, confidence, and collaboration — bringing together dancers of all levels to share the joy of the holiday season.

Class Options

Nutcracker Rep Class

Instructors: Danielle & Maria

Meets weekly on Saturdays 2:30–5:00 P.M.

Duration: Full Semester (August 25 – January 17)

Tuition: $225

Open to students registered for Intro, A, A/B, B, B/C, or C levels in Ballet, Modern, or Jazz. The class begins with an audition for roles, and every participating student is guaranteed a part in the production.

Nutcracker Battle Rep Class

Instructors: Taylor & Kaeleen

Meets weekly on Saturdays 1:30–2:30 P.M.

Duration: Full Semester (August 25 – January 17)

Tuition: $225

Open to students in Hip Hop Junior, Hip Hop, or Tap classes. Hip Hop dancers perform as the Rats, while Tap dancers take the stage as the Soldiers in the iconic battle scene. Students enrolled in both Hip Hop and Tap will be assigned roles by MoCo’s teaching staff.

Nutcracker Rep Class

Auditions: Saturday, September 6, 2025 from 1:30-3:30 P.M. at MoCo Arts

Dancers must arrive at 1:30pm to sign in and get measured.
Auditions will be for the parts of Clara, Fritz, Governess, Maids, Party Girls, Party Boys, Gingerbread Cookies, and Angels.
All dancers who are registered for Intro, A, A/B, B, B/C or C in Ballet, Modern or Jazz are invited to audition and will get a part.
Parts are assigned based on height, ability to follow directions, pick up choreography, and musicality. Commitment, dedication, and hard work are a MUST!
Female dancers should come to the audition wearing a black leotard, pink tights, and pink ballet slippers. No pants, skirts, or shorts.
Male dancers should dress in black tights or pants and a white shirt.
Hair must be pulled back.
This is The Nutcracker Repertory class and therefore subject to a class fee of $225.

Class Dates & Times 9/13-12/13:

Saturdays from 2:30-3:45 P.M. Gingerbreads and Angels (determined by audition)

OR

Saturdays from 3:45-5 P.M. Clara, Fritz, Governess, Maids, Party Girls, and Boys (determined by audition) Due to the short amount of time to get ready, students may miss only 2 classes!

The Saturday after Thanksgiving on 11/29 from 9:30-10:30 A.M. will be a make-up class for students who have missed class.

Friday, December 12 Act II Studio Run Through 5:30-8:00 P.M.

Saturday, December 13 Act I Studio Run Through 5:00-7:00 P.M.

Tuesday, December 16 Act I Tech Rehearsal 5:00-9:00 P.M.

Wednesday, December 17 Act II Tech Rehearsal 5:00-9:00 P.M.

Thursday, December 18 Dress Rehearsal 4:30-8:30 P.M.

Show Dates & Times:

Friday, December 19 7 P.M.

Saturday, December 20 2 and 7 P.M.

Sunday, December 21 2 P.M.

Nutcracker Battle Rep Class
