Join us for the Nutcracker Demo Experience, a dance demonstration that highlights the foundational elements of dance technique while exploring creativity, imagination, and self-expression. Creative Dance offers young dancers the opportunity to make friends and learn basic dance skills essential for all forms of dance. With age-appropriate activities and a variety of music and props, students will enhance their self-awareness, control, and coordination as they dance individually, with partners, and in groups. Our special annual unit on The Nutcracker invites children to learn about the music, characters, plot, and history of the classic ballet and culminates in a demonstration class on the final day of class before winter break. Dancers receive well-rounded instruction in ballet, tap, jazz, hip hop, and modern dance, while they develop rhythm, musicality, and more.
