Woody’s Roundup is an original tale which pays homage to the classic westerns and folk tales of the wild, wild west and features songs from the era of the “Singing Cowboy.”  Children will be introduced to famous old cowboy songs by Gene Autry, Roy Rogers and more, getting a glimpse of an iconic period in American history.

In this play, Woody has hired a group of cowhands to help with this year’s big round-up.  When the cattle suddenly go missing, it leads Woody to a showdown at high noon with the Prospector Will B. Mine.  Mexican senioritas in swirling skirts help them all celebrate the “quickest draw in the west.”  As the story unfolds, we find out that the cows have made their way to a Sioux village where Mocohontas and her people have uncovered a remarkable talent in the cows, which may shake the world of Wild West rodeos forever.
