Annual Giving Campaign

We are deeply grateful for all that the community has done to support MoCo’s investment in nonprofit arts education in the heart of our community. MoCo’s impact on children who experience arts education through our camps and classes is life-changing. Your gift helps us meet a growing need for the kind of nurturing stability that MoCo successfully combines with respect, inclusiveness, rigor and professionalism for every child.

If you haven’t donated yet, there is still time. Our 2023 Annual Giving Campaign runs through August 31. Every dollar raised during this campaign ensures that we keep the MoCo Magic alive for our students. Gifts to the Annual Fund: help MoCo purchase show rights and scripts for the kids, help pay for the storage of more than 10,000 costumes and wardrobe accessories and 250 props (students never pay for costumes or to perform at MoCo Arts), pay for the costs to open, run and staff the building for classes and shows, help pay the salaries of our amazing staff and all the little things that keep the doors open to every child and family that needs us.

Our donors are the heart of our mission! We can’t do it without you. Your support is Transforming Lives Through Movement and Creative Expression each day. And your donation ensures that arts education remains accessible, inclusive and available to all families.

At MoCo Arts, we believe in the transformative power of the arts. We see it first-hand on a daily basis. When we asked our Creative Arts at Keene (CAKE) campers what the most significant thing was they learned this summer, their touching responses showed just how much kids need to reconnect with peers and their inner selves in a safe, supportive environment:

“It’s ok to be different.”

“Being at CAKE improved my social skills a lot.”

“CAKE has helped me find myself and be myself.”

“It’s made me not scared to talk to people anymore!”

“Being at CAKE has made me so much more comfortable with myself.”

“To have confidence in yourself and try harder!”

“Being happy and meeting people has been the highlight of my summer.”

This pandemic has been really hard on everyone. Especially children. But they’re regaining confidence, communication skills and self-awareness through MoCo Arts’ professional arts education opportunities – regardless of their family’s ability to pay. Yes, regardless of their family’s financial situation. As part of MoCo Arts’ nonprofit mission to help every child experience the arts, Tuition Assistance is available for all programming, including summer and vacation camps.

And it’s working. The response from our families has been overwhelmingly positive. Here are just a few of the wonderful words of appreciation we’ve received since beginning this journey.

The staff have cultivated an atmosphere, a culture where any kid can thrive. All MoCo interactions are geared towards building community and lifting students up. The past few years have been challenging and lonely for many. I can’t think of a time in recent history when infusing positivity among youth has been more critical.

MoCo teaching staff consistently model inclusion. When students see MoCo model this behavior of kindness, of inclusion, I know it is great for my child. But I also can’t help but think: it’s great for the rest of the world, too.

MoCo is so much more than Community Arts — it’s a force for kindness in our community. I am deeply grateful.

“It’s astonishing to me that the tiny four-year old who tottered and waddled her way through early classes with Danielle is now a confident young woman about to embark on an incredible journey. And as I consider the years that seem to have flown by, I’m struck by the constancy MoCo provided even as a large part of her foundation crumbled.”

–Eve A.

Thank you Reagan for all that you (and all the staff) have done to keep the arts education going. I’ve said it before (many times) and I’ll keep saying it-We are so fortunate to have MoCo in our community.”

–Stacy K.

We are making a difference in the lives of our students. With your help, we will continue to do so. Your support ensures that we can continue to provide children with the opportunity to experience growth, joy, connection and confidence as they gain skills that will help them succeed at school and in their adult life. Children at MoCo Arts learn teamwork, patience, discipline, self-discovery and how to be good listeners. All critical skills in tomorrow’s leaders.

Thank you for your support!
