Student Dance-A-Thon Raises $5,056 in support of ‘MoCo Moves’

Dance, dance, DANCE! That was the energy on Sunday afternoon as over 50 MoCo Arts students ages 2nd – 12th grade gathered in MoCo’s studios at 76 Railroad Street to dance their hearts out, raising money for the MoCo Moves: Building MoCo Arts’ Future capital campaign. We are thrilled to announce that the Dance-A-thon raised $5,056.65!

MoCo Arts is in the midst of a $5 million capital campaign to build a new hub of creative arts education in downtown Keene. With just over $4.5 million of the $5 million raised, construction has begun on the 17,000 sq ft building.

At MoCo Arts, the kids are the stars. The student Dance-A-Thon was a great opportunity for our students to get hands on with the fundraising efforts. We tasked them with soliciting one time donations in support of their dancing efforts, then attend a fun-filled afternoon at MoCo with dancing, activities, and special guests, including Ribby from the Swamp Bats.

Thank you to all of the students and their families who helped fundraise in support of the capital campaign. Thank you to the staff, teachers and parents who volunteered their time to make this great afternoon of dancing happen. Thank you to Ribby and the Keene Swamp Bats for joining the dancing fun. We are very proud of our students, thank you!
