There are four exciting theatre opportunities coming up this summer at C.A.K.E. Summer Camp!
– Musical Theatre Sr. – Grades 6th – 12th
FAME Jr. – Take part in this timeless story of New York City’s celebrated High School for the Performing Arts and the student’s fight for fame.
Auditions will take place on the first day of C.A.K.E.. Everyone who auditions will be cast in the show. Some audition materials will be ready before the start of camp, all campers enrolled in Musical Theatre Sr. will be notified when these materials are ready to be picked up. Actors must register for all 4 weeks of camp and commit to TWO PERIODS (1st & 2nd) of rehearsal time.
– Mini Musical Jr. – Grades 2nd – 5th
This is your opportunity to sing and dance your way across the stage! This year’s production will be an original musical written exclusively for C.A.K.E.. Campers who have some theatre experience or would like to try out theatre for the first time are encouraged to join the fun and experience the thrill of being on stage.

– One Act Play Sr. – Grades 6th – 12th
Law & Order: Fairy Tale Unit – In the fairy tale criminal justice system, the characters from fairy tales and nursery rhymes are represented by two separate yet equally ridiculous groups: the fairy tale police who investigate fairy tale crime, and the fairy tale district attorneys who prosecute the fairy tale offenders. These are their stories.

– Mini One Act Play Jr. – Grades 2nd – 5th
Do you love Horrible Harry, Skippyjohn Jones and the Magical School Bus? Or do you have another favorite story that you would like to see come to life? Each week, campers choose a different picture or chapter book from which to create a play, planning the script, choosing parts and performing for other campers.
